Confederate Secret Service Book

Postby heck » 23 Feb 2016, 08:12

Glenn's post about Confederate Secret Service activity in Canada made me think of this book. It had some hypothetical information but it was written by at least one intelligence professional. There wouldn't be any documentation for a black operation like this so "educated guesses" are the best we can do at this late date. I recommend you get a copy from the library and give it a look through and see what you think:
Come Retribution: The Confederate Secret Service and the Assassination of Lincoln Paperback – September 1, 1988
by William A. Tidwell (Author), James O. Hall (Author), & 1 more ... etribution

Another good one is "secret missions of the civil war" by Philip Van Doren Stern.
