TOMATOES

Postby WASATCH CHARLIE » 12 Feb 2017, 22:55

Went out today.....stopped at our ''super wally-world'' and picked up a few things plus a couple nice ( looking ) tomatoes. cut one up for a salad with supper...........

Well,i can't wait for summer tomatoes....got some ''special'' seeds to plant.
those wally world 'maters taste like sawdust/cardboard with some tomatoe ketsup flavoring added,.
Nothing compares to a fresh home grown tomatoe......no need for salt, pepper or anything else to enjoy one. the one I had tonight took a couple ounces of olive oil and basalmic vinegar to make those suckers palatable...... I know,i know, ''Food is just to keep you alive ,does not have to taste good....BUT
I ain't in the Army....so I expect to be able to relish my Vitale with ''gusto'' !!!
ESPECIALLY MY 'MATERS..... zful zbee
zso Cabin fever setting in !!!

Truly nothing compares to a fresh, homegrown tomato. Only the best for a wasatch sammitch!

Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Damn , now I'm hungry again. You guys are right, nothing like a fresh mater out of the garden. My tomatoes are up but not too far along. It's gonna be a while.

Summer is delayed for us:-)))) Weather is shaking - 2-3 nice warm summer days and after roll-back to cold rainy crap, and again, and again... Soil soaked with water, but we was prepared it for planting already - planned it in next couple days, as tell forecasters will summer switch-on at last...

After not having a garden for many years. The cherry maters sure taste good off the plant. Just a short walk out the backdoor. The squash is coming in the watermelon is small but looking good the green peppers are doing well. The garden is small but after 20 or so years of not having a garden.
