VINTAGE HERTER'S CASE TRIMMER

Postby Jay Gibson » 04 May 2015, 22:50

I have a Lee Case Trimmer Cutter and Lock Stud with the ball holder (el cheapo) and a Lee Deluxe Quick Trim Case Trimmer. And, frankly, I have only extensively used the .30-06 die with the Deluxe Quick Trim.

I am going grab this, if I can. I have a bid in. It appears identical to the Forster, I would bet that they made it for Herter's many moons ago. Keep a good thought fer me. . . most of y'all know I am a fair to middlin' hand at cleaning stuff up. Look at my trucks. :)

" If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.
A room without books is like a body without a soul.
The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living.
To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child.
A man of courage is also full of faith.
He only employs his passion who can make no use of his reason.
A friend is, as it were, a second self.
While there's life, there's hope.
True nobility is exempt from fear.
Nothing is more noble, nothing more venerable than fidelity. Faithfulness and truth are the most sacred excellences and endowments of the human mind."

Well, in 12 minutes I'll check and see if I got it. :)

Will sand and paint and call it G2G, if I get it.

I won, but paid too much. . .

Damn. . . I put in a big bid and two bastards ran it up. Oh well. . . being broke has become a way of life with me.

Auctions have a tendency to do that, but there's a certain satisfaction in knowing you got it and those other bastards didn't. :)

Well. . . I got this tool in today. Anyone want to see what it looks like after I cleaned it up?

I grew up with Herters. You have a jewel. They never ever had junk. How I wish they were still here.
